Amelia Lily – You Bring Me Joy

X Factor alumni Amelia Lily has premiered the video for her debut single, ‘You Bring Me Joy’, today. The Xenomania produced track joins Misha B’s ‘Home Run’ and Little Mix’s ‘Wings’ in the competition for best X Factor single this year.

Even though it is arguably the less original track from the three I’ve quoted, the track is a dance banger with a structure based on the same principle that made Florrie’s ‘Shot You Down’ so addictive: the repetition of key lyrics with little melody variation that flows seamlessly from beginning to end. It’s catchy and it’s got a lot of punch. The video isn’t as good as the song, but you gotta start somewhere.

9/10
