Wretch 32 feat. Example – Unorthodox

Unorthodox is the second single from grime MC and rapper Wretch 32, a 26 year old that was nominated to the BBC Sound of 2011 poll. His first single, titled Traktor and featuring L charted at #5. His album, titled Black and White, is expected to be released in August 2011. He has a previous album, called Wretchrospective and a few mixtapes featuring collaborations with Devlin and Chipmunk amongst others.

The song, featuring Example’s vocals on the chorus, samples the funky guitar riff from The Stone Roses’ Fool’s Gold. It’s the guitar riff along with the electronic pan-pipe and the main lyric we don’t follow no crowd, they follow us/we don’t follow no sound/they follow us what makes the song infectiously catchy.

The song is out now and currently #2 on iTunes. You can watch the video below and play a little guess-where-Chipmunk-appears.
