2012 is determined to bring girl bands back. Only this month we’ve heard Little Mix’s new single, Mutya, Keisha and Siobhan have announced their return and the Spice Girls are set to perform at the Olympics closing ceremony. Now Parade are back too and ready to bring it with their new single ‘Light Me Up’, a track written by the girls and produced by Tim Powell, who has worked with the Sugababes and has basically produced every single Girls Aloud track. Plus, Parade’s second album is being produced by some talented British people such as MNEK (Misha B, The Saturdays), Jamal Hadaway (Labrinth), K-Gee (All Saints) or Fred Ball (JLS).
The whole thing seems very promising and according to Popjustice, the single is “the number 1 single The Saturdays will probably never have”.
‘Light Me Up’ is out on August 1st, the album is TBA.
