Sometimes Beyoncé doesn’t look human. She’s a technically perfect singer, incredible dancer, charismatic performer who can seemingly do everything. She is entrancing, mesmerizing when she is on a stage. Her Superbowl Half Time Show was wildly anticipated and of course she was brilliant in it, because I don’t think she has it in her to be anything but.
But precisely because her performance is flawless, I found myself picking on other things, like the transition between songs, the Destiny’s Child stunt being entirely too short-lived, the way Michelle and Kelly’s mics were turned down, that visually the show wasn’t as spectacular as Madonna’s last year. From a performer’s POV, Beyoncé was flawless. From a Superbowl Half Time Show perspective, it was no visual extravaganza.
This being said, Single Ladies with Destiny’s Child.
